Four rules for every room.

Hi-fi shopping usually starts with a catalog. Ours starts with a conversation about the space, the music and how you listen.

The room comes first.

Your room shapes what you hear more than any single component. Before we suggest a loudspeaker, we ask about its size, the floor, the windows and where you actually sit.

Your music, not a demo track.

Bring the records, files or playlists you know by heart. Familiar music is the fastest way to hear what a change really does, and it keeps the session honest.

Matched, never maximal.

Amplification is chosen for your loudspeakers and the level you listen at, not for the biggest number on a spec sheet. Often the better answer is the simpler one.

Finished where it lives.

Placement, toe-in, subwoofer integration and level matching are done in your room, by measurement and by ear, and explained as we go.

Everything we carry is chosen to be auditioned. If a product can’t be demonstrated properly, we don’t put it on the shelf.

CH—04 / The appointment

What a listening appointment is.

A private session built around one question: what will sound right in your room? It is not a sales floor, and nothing is expected of you at the end of it.

Systems: Two-channel stereo, home cinema, or headphones and desktop audio.
Bring: Your own music: vinyl, CDs, files on a drive, or a streaming login.
Method: Level-matched comparisons with one change at a time, so differences are real differences.
Pace: Unhurried. Long enough to listen past first impressions.
Afterward: A written summary of what you heard and what we would suggest for your room.
Obligation: None. You leave with notes, not a contract.

We’ll handle the rest: the room, the setup and an honest comparison. Appointments are arranged by email, and we confirm the time and place when we reply.
